    Work With Me!

Work with me! If you are a teacher considering a move into tutoring or would like to tutor alongside teaching, please do contact me as I am always looking for talented and experienced teachers to work with. I have a long waiting list and am keen to share my tutoring and 11+ expertise.

      Waiting List Form

Although my tutoring sessions are oversubscribed, I am currently working on ways of expanding my offerings so it is worth registering on my waiting list. I will inform you of one-to-one, paired and group sessions as soon as they become available.

      Need Help?

Yes. I am very familiar with all of the local primary and secondary schools, state and independent and am happy to offer advice on which schools I think are most suitable for your child. My experience with children sitting entrance exams means that I can offer valuable expertise about the the exam process for all of the local schools and relate it to your own child’s ability and strengths.

If your child cannot attend their scheduled session, I require 24hrs notice to try to find an alternative session. It might be possible to carry the session out on Zoom rather than in-person.

I teach maths and English and am extremely familiar with the National Curriculum and with the expectations in SATs and 11+ exams. For those children sitting 11+ independent and grammar school exams, I can also carry out some Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning work.

I expect the children to practise spellings between sessions and any additional homework I set will be to consolidate a topic that we have worked on together. For the children sitting entrance exams, practice papers will be set regularly from the summer before entering Year 6.

Payment is by BACs transfer within two weeks of the invoice date.

No. I am frequently asked whether I will continue tutoring children beyond Year 6 but have so much demand for tutoring children in KS2 and am very experienced in this age range, that I do not offer sessions to children once they start at secondary school.

I tutor a wide range of differing abilities; some children have special educational needs so need additional support alongside their school learning while other children might be struggling to keep pace with learning in a class of 30+ children so need consolidation work to ensure all areas of the curriculum are secure before moving onto secondary schools. For some children, the need will be to stretch beyond what they are being taught at school in order to keep them engaged and inspired by learning.
