11+ Exam Preparation

2024 will be the fourth year of running 11+ exam preparation courses and sixth year for my mock exam day. Both are invaluable opportunities to prepare for 11+ entrance exams for local independent schools. The 11+ preparation courses are run over 4 days during the Easter and summer holidays (9:30am – 2:50pm).

Children work in groups of up to 8 children covering the maths and English content which they need to have secured for the entrance exams and working on their verbal and non-verbal reasoning skills as well as some engaging team-building activities and interview practice. The children will carry out mock English and maths exam papers on the final afternoon of the courses and parents will receive detailed analytical reports detailing which areas need to be worked on in the time remaining before the entrance exams.

The courses offer a fantastic opportunity for the children to learn and consolidate the content needed for the entrance exams in an engaging and inspiring environment while forming new friendships with other children going through the same process in the time remaining before the entrance exams

Cost of 11+ Exam Preparation Course - £250 - £75 deposit payable upon booking with balance due 4 weeks before the course

Structure of the Mock Exam Day

Timings	Session Details
9:30am Arrival	Ice breaker and session on exam technique.
10-11am	One hour English paper with comprehension and creative writing sections
11-11:15am	Break with snacks and games.
11:15-12:15pm	One hour maths paper.
12:15-12:45pm	Lunch break (children to bring packed lunches).
12:45pm - 1:45pm	Session on interview technique with mock interviews - in small groups each led by an experienced tutor.
1:50-2:50pm	One hour reasoning paper covering verbal and non-verbal reasoning
3pm	Collection

All papers thoroughly marked and performance reports delivered back within 10 days.

Cost – £95 – £25 deposit required to secure your child’s place, £70 balance due on or before August 7th 2023.
