Welcome

My sessions are fun and varied keeping the children engaged for a full hour (75
minutes for groups and pairs). Making the learning as engaging and accessible
as possible is key and I incorporate lots of games and interactive resources into
my sessions. I provide an A4 lever arch folder and journal for spelling practice and
vocabulary gathering and colourful prompts which the children can refer to if
they need a memory jog on a topic which we have covered. I also provide A5
folders with maths and English laminated revision cards for when children are
approaching school entrance exams or SATs.

My fee includes full marking and feedback of all work set including practice
papers. Sessions take place in my home in Earlswood. I have built up a huge
number of resources and subscribe to various educational websites, remaining
fully engaged with all educational developments and have amassed hundreds of
11+ entrance exam and SATs papers.

One to One Lessons

As an experienced tutor, I am able to quickly identify areas to develop and consolidate with the children in positive, constructive ways to achieve success. I design my sessions according to my tutees’ individual needs and am able to adapt instantly to secure all areas and boost confidence. One-to-one sessions are charged at £40 per hour payable half-termly in advance.

Pairs/Groups Sessions

High demand for sessions has led to some paired and group sessions which can work very well when the children are of similar ability and work well together. Paired and group sessions run for 75 minutes and are charged at £30 per child for pairs and £25 per child for group sessions. Group sessions are a maximum of 4 children.

Mock Exam Days

In the run up to independent school entrance exams, I offer a mock exam day where the children will experience exam conditions and complete maths, English and reasoning papers. I provide a detailed performance report with a summary of which areas to focus on before the exams take place. The mock exam days are available to children who I don’t regularly tutor.

11+ Preparation Courses

Two 4-day preparation courses preparing children for 11+ entrance exams developing their maths, English and reasoning skills in a fun and inspiring environment.
