I am an experienced and passionate primary school teacher with a strong academic record who turned to tutoring after a period of ill-health and I am delighted that I did!

My tutoring programmes are suitable for children in Years 3-6 who either need a boost and consolidation of all areas of English, maths, or for those preparing for independent or 11+ grammar school entrance exams.

I tutor a wide range of differing abilities; some children have special educational needs so need additional support alongside their school learning while other children might be struggling to keep pace with learning in a class of 30+ children so need consolidation work to ensure all areas of the curriculum are secure before moving onto secondary schools. I also tutor very able children who need stretching beyond what they are being taught at school in order to keep them engaged and inspired by learning. Now in my fifth year of preparing hundreds of children for 11+ school entrance exams and SATs, I know the processes extremely well. I offer valuable expertise and advice about all of the local state and independent schools, both primary and secondary. I also have first-hand experience of two of the local independent secondary schools with my own children attending Dunottar and Reigate Grammar.

Demand for my tutoring sessions has grown rapidly and I hold a long waiting list. As a result of this, I have a number of experienced teachers/tutors who work with me carrying out sessions with some of the children I am unable to fit into my very full schedule (all fully DBS checked as am I). I stay involved with the progress of these children and am able to advise on suitability of schools etc.
